Red Dead Redemption 2 - Online

I did start playing online a bit. I did end up creating my character, which a lot of online message boards and YouTube videos let you know that you need to pay a lot of attention to the character creation as it is difficult to change in the future. I really did not care what my character looked like. I try to make my characters in these types of games be close to what I look like in real life, but there are certainly limitations to doing that. I have only played a short time, but it would appear that Gold is the main form of currency in order to be able to do anything in the game. I am still just starting out, so I am not sure what activities to focus on, but will learn the more I play. Below, I have listed a few statistics that are current as of June 6, 2023.

I have been moving up in rank and I have spent a bit of money. I bought a bow and rifle, but not much else. I would like a horse update as well as some campsite updates, but all are linked to level, so I am not high enough to get those items. I also was thinking of getting a Bounty Hunter wagon since I have been working and making money at Bounty Hunting. I am only at rank 2 so far, but I am sure that I will be needing this in the future. I have also been thinking about the next gold investment. I am thinking either trader or collector, but I am not sure yet. I believe that the Trader will provide some much needed monies, but I believe that this will be a very active way of making money and will require constant attention, whereas I think that the Collector will give me the ability to do this whenever I feel like it. I am leaning toward the trader, since I do really want the stew pot for my campsite. I do have some time before making this decision since I am not even close to having enough gold to do either.

I did end up spending a bit of money on a tent for the campsite as well as a new outfit. I did end up updating my horse to an Arabian, which is much better than the original horse that you get when you start out. I also added an extra holster and six gun. While working on getting the 15 gold necessary for getting the Collector Role, I had actually gone through and collected three complete sets of the Tarot cards. Once I was able to buy the Collector role, I was able to make a bit of money, which was important since you pretty much need the shovel to get some of the additional collections. I am also building up monies so that I am able to get the metal detector. I really want to go after the coins, which I see is the most value for a collection, which should partially cover the cost of the metal detector.

I have been getting involved in all of the roles. It is a bit difficult to work on all of them, so I would suggest focusing on just a few at a time. The moonshine role seems to be very passive with only getting supplies and running through sell missions. You really don't have to do alot, which is good since you can focus the extra time while waiting for a sale mission to work on the Trader, collector and bounty hunting missions. I did end up getting not only the Hunting Wagon but also the Bounty Hunting Wagon as well.
