GTA 5 Online - Missions
CEO Offices
Are offices worth the cost of the initial investment? I have done some research into getting an office, and the costs can be high with the initial outlay of monies for the office itself followed by needing to at least have a warehouse to go along with that. I think that the cost of the office, which range in price from $1,000,000 to $4,000,000 which is just part of it, as there are also additional costs for gun lockers, safes and even if you want to use the office as a home, you can add the accomidation option. All of these extras do not need to be added initially, as they can be added after the fact, so you could get an office for as little as $1,000,000, and then as you earn monies by doing the buying and selling missions, you can add onto your office with whatever extras you are interested in.

Note(s): Reviewing the options, I believe that the gun safe provides a valuable function as it allows you to customize your loadouts, but I am not so sure about the Safe which has no benefit at all other than esthetics. Also, since many of us that play on a regular basis already have an apartment, I don’t think that the Accommodation is require either. I personally have an apartment right next door to my office, so I did not opt for the $795,000 for this option, but could add this in the future if I ended up getting rid of this apartment for something better.
The office provides quite a few benefits on it's own. You have the ability of getting your personal assistant to have any of your vehicles brought around to the front of your office at no cost. Your assistant will also provide free snacks whenever you need them. You can also get helicopters brought directly to the helipad on the roof, but at a cost. You also have access to all of the VIP functions as well as missions through your CEO menus, without having to have at least $1,000,000 on hand.
CEO Warehouses
For the warehouses available for the CEO Offices, you have quite a few options as there are small, medium and large warehouses. After some research and more than 400 buying missions, I believe that I have found a pretty good formula. As I generally play GTA 5 Online by myself and do not have a large Crew to rely on, I found that buying the crates one at a time and then selling them in either groups of four, five or six works out the best. It gives you the ability to do your buying quickly as it is just you and there is only one crate. You still need to be mindful of other CEOs, but generally the missions are very quick. Also, when you run through the selling missions with only a few crates, you are able again to do these by yourself. This gives you a profit of $11,000 per crate, which is not too bad. Since you are also only buying and selling a half-dozen crates at a time, you are able to stick with the low cost warehouses. This gives you a better chance at getting a return on your initial investment.

Note(s): If you choose to buy the best office and five of the best wharehouses, you are looking at spending $21.88M total. Quite a bit of in-game money, which would take quite some time to get a return on your investment. Whereas, if you go the cheaper route and get the low cost office with only two of the small warehouses, your total outlay/initial investment is only $3,088,000. This would be a lot easier to get a return on your initial investment in a shorter period of time. This second option is the route that I choose, which I ended up getting three of the small warehouses and bought the safe as well as the gun safe for my office. My total came to $3,865,000 for office and warehouses, which I have almost doubled that amount in monies earned from my CEO office buying and selling. I have already gotten to $7.2M in earned monies from doing the CEO Buying and Selling missions. I will continue to run through these missions as they have been funding my crazy vehicle purchases, that is until I can find a better source of revenue.
Biker - Clubhouse
I have purchased a biker clubhouse in a far away location to save money, with a total of $700k. I bought the clubhouse for the extra storage space, as I did want a few of the motorcycles, which I have purchased five so far. I am not sure if I will be buying any of the businesses, as it seems that it almost positively requires additional assistance in order to run through the selling missions, but I will research this futher to find out if it is of interest to me.

Note(s): As well as the base price for the clubhouse, you also have quite a few options that you are able to addon. Again, I believe that if you do not have a CEO Office, the gun locker would be a good option, but I am not sold on the Custom Bike Shop, as you have the ability to take your motorcycles to the standard MOD shop, which will give you the ability to fully modify your motorcycles as much as you like. Also, keep in mind that you can add or upgrade any of these options after you have purchased the clubhouse, so if you are strapped for cash, you can just get the plain clubhouse and upgrade as you continue to ear money. Ultimately, I think that the MC Clubhouses are a good value as it does not require a lot of money to purchase, plus gives you the ability to store up to ten motorcycles and free up garage space. I also enjoy the feature where you are able to get a motorcycle at will, which does not take a long time for delivery of the vehicle.

Note(s): Here is a listing of the upgrades that are available for the Biker Businesses within the game. I have gone ahead and purchased the Cocaine business in Alamo Sea, as the location does not have any affect on the money that is made it is only an increased cost as to the location. Since I purchased the Biker Business during a week where there is a 25% discount, I was able to but the business and get the equipment and staff upgrades for about $2M. I have also invested in the Security Upgrade, which has pushed my total investment to $2.5M for this business. So far after doing more than two dozen sale missions, I have made back a little over $3M. I find it to be quite worth it, as I have made back my initial investment. I would suggest that anyone that is running the Biker Businesses to limit yourself to only one or two businesses and try to steal the supplies rather than buying them, which will increase the return on investment. I am planning on getting another business as soon as I have rebuilt my monies in the bank, which I am thinking of getting the Methamphetamine business next.

Import/Export Business
As of now the Import/Export business is in full swing with the "acquiring" and selling of high-end vehicles. I am listing the location and cost of all of the Import/Export Warehouses. The differences between the warehouses is strickly location as they all have the ability of holding 40 vehicles, plus any of the speciality vehicles that you have purchased. I myself have choosen the cheapest at $1,500,000, and have not added the additional/upgraded interior decorations as this is simply a warehouse. I did consider trading my warehouse, which is the lowest cost one for one in a better area, but I have reconsidered as I am really used to driving to and from the warehouse that I have and I don't see the need to spend the extra money. I have earned quite a bit from the import/export business as I am already over $10,000,000. This I found as truely a great return on my initial investment as I had already had the Executive office and just needed to buy the warehouse, which was only $1,500,000.

Note(s): I have found so far, that this is the most profitable business venture. As long as you keep your repair costs down and you are able to keep your delivery percentage up, you should be pretty successful. I have made almost twenty times the initial cost of the warehouse, not including the Executive Office, which I think is very good.
Import/Export Business - Special Vehicles
Once you have done a few of the Aquire missions, the Special Vehicle Work missions will become available. These missions have to be done in a co-op mode, as you will need some assistance in order to be able to perform the missions and also the extra help will make them easier. The following table lists the mission name, how many aquire missions are required in order to make the mission available and the costs for the unlocked vehicle. The Trade Cost is a discounted price for the vehicle after the mission has been done. I would suggest that the missions be done for the vehicles anyone is looking to purchase, as there is quite a deep discount. I did the calculation and you end up saving almost $5.5M getting all of the vehicles at the discounted price rather than the retail cost.
Mission | Unlocks | Required Aquire missions | Trade Cost | Retail Cost |
---|---|---|---|---|
Escape Escort | Ramp Buggy | 4 | $2,400,000 | $3,192,000 |

Arms Embargo | Ruiner 2000 | 32 | $4,320,000 | $5,745,600 |
Note(s): I have gone through the first three missions in order to get the Trade Cost for the vehicles, but have not bought any of them. It is really difficult to run through the missions as I play mostly by myself and getting random people in missions is very difficult. I have attempted to go through the Asset Seizure mission quite a few times, but keep getting players leaving and getting killed, so I have not been able to run through the mission. I did end up playing this mission while another player hosted and we were able to get through it with no issues. I will continue to keep trying to go through the rest of these missions as I would like to complete them. I do not really have any intention on getting any of the vehicles as I don't really see a need.
Gun Running Business - Bunkers
A Bunker is required in order to do either the research for advanced weaponry or the actual gun running business itself. It works very much like the businesses for the Motorcycle Clubhouse in that you need to collect resources via various missions and those resources are then used to either produce weapons that you can sell or research into advanced weapons that can be installed either on special vehicles or on your own weapons.

Note(s): I ended up getting Chumash Bunker, as it was conveniently located close to my apartment. It was also not a tremendous amount more than the cheapest. I did not get any of the options, as you are able to add these later. So far there has not been alot of profit, as I have switched to just doing research and advancing this for now. I will switch to full production, once all of the research projects have been completed.
Gun Running Business - Bunker Upgrades
Here is a list of the upgrades that are available for the Bunkers in order to make them more efficeint at research or producing weapons.
Upgrade Option | Cost |
---|---|
Bunker Style | 0 to $290,000 |
Personal Quarters | $265,000 |
Shooting Range | Black: $740,000 White: $845,000 |
Gun Locker | $175,000 |
Transportation | Caddy 1: $85,000 Caddy 2: $120,000 |
Note(s): With my purchase of the Chumash Bunker, I did end up getting the Caddy 1 transportation. I am debating if this was a good idea or not. For the extra $85,000 cost, I really do not use the caddy that much. I guess if I end up eventually adding in the shooting range and the personal quarters, it might end up being useful. I don't really consider adding in the personal quarters since I have an apartment, which I am unable to sell. If there is an option to sell my apartments, I think that I would and add in personal quarters into both the bunker as well as the Executive Office.
Mobile Operations Center (MOC)
The Mobile Operations Center (MOC) is exactly what it sounds like, it is essentially a trailer for a semi-truck that can move around the map. It is a requirement that you first own a Bunker in order to purchase this. Buying the Mobile Operations Center will set you back $1,225,000 to $2,790,000, depending on the options that you end up adding.

Note(s): I have not decided if this is worthwhile yet. It is required to run through the missions in order to get the discounted priceses for the Special Vehicles, which I am intending on getting the Oppressor and the Weaponized Tampa, as these seem to be the best out of all of them. It was also quite a bit to get the Mobile Operations Center (MOC), which I ended up getting all of the addons that I could. I am intending on upgrading the weapons once I have done all of the reseach and of course get the two vehicles and upgrade those as well.
Gun Runners - Special Vehicles
These are the special vehicles that came with the Gun Runners update. Like with the Import/Export Special Vehicles, you can reduce the cost of the vehicles by running through the missions. These are only available from the Mobile Operations Center (MOC).

Smuggler's Run
I have gone ahead and purchased one of the Smuggler Run hangers. I ended up getting the cheapest located at the airport. I did not beleive, based on experience, that there would be any difference in size or functionality. I also went bare bones and did not spend any additional cash on extras. I have noticed that the workshop will be necessary if you want to make any modifications to aircraft. I also believe that you need to have the workshop in order to bring your Pegasus aircraft into the hanger, but this could just be a short site on my part. I am also thinking that I will need to upgrade the office decor, as it is not that expensive.

Note(s): Through a crazy series of events, I have ended up making quite a bit of money from the Smuggler's Run Hanger. I typically run through the missions by myself, so I do not like to accumilate too much product as it typically is very difficult to transport without additional assistance. I was working on getting five of each of the types of products and had gone through and sold the first five, which resulted in a profit of $100,000. I was working on the rest and then logged on over the weekend and found that all of the products that I had acquired where all in the same category. I ended up running through a sell mission by myself and was able to go back and forth in the allotted time and get $400,000 for the sale. So far, I have earned $500,000 from my new hanger, which I originally paid $1.2M for. I did end up adding in the Workshop for an extra $1.15M so that I could upgrade the aircraft that I am starting to store there.
I have also included the extras that are available for the Smuggler's Run Hangers. These can be added either at the time of purchase or at anytime in the future whenever monies are available.

Note(s): I did end up adding the Workshop to my hanger, but do not see the need for any of the other options. It is just a warehouse, so I do not see the need to spruce it up in anyway. I had the same thoughts for Vehicle Warehouse as well.
Doomsday Heist - Facilities
Here is a listing of the new facilities that are available for purchase in order to do the Doomsday Heists. All of the facilities are the same and the prices are only a reflection of the location. There are quite a few options that can be added, but can be added at any time in the event that money is at a premium. I have looked at the various options and think that I would end up getting the Lago Zancudo location as it is very close to my bunker. I have also looked through the options available and found a great resource at GTA Wikia, which not only lists all of the options, but you are able to scroll through the photos of the various options available to see how they look. I have found that I would end up adding an additional $1M to the cost of the facility. I am not sure if it is worth it as I am guessing that you will not be able to earn back your $2.6M for the initial investment.

Nightclubs
Here is a listing of the new Nightclubs that are available for purchase. All of the Nightclubs seem to be the same and the prices are only a reflection of the location. There are quite a few options that can be added, but can be added at any time in the event that money is at a premium. Customization Options can be added at the time you do the initial purchase of the Nightclub, or can be added later as a remodel. This is the same as all of the other modifiable facilities that are in the game. The best course of action would be to stay with the minimum to save money and add items as needed. So far, the selections that you make do not seem to affect the money that is earned, so any of the decorative options would be personal preference.

Note(s): I ended up buying a Nightclub in the Del Perro area and only added a few options. I did end up getting the Cathedral lighting, of course I had to change the name of the club and finally I added in the Style 3 dancers. My total came to $2,001,500 so the cost was not too bad. I did also invest the $2.5M into the upgrades and performed updates on the free Speedo Custom. I believe the total investment cost was about $5M, which is really what I expected the cost to be. I did also purchase the two additional delivery vehicles, which were on discount at the time that I bought them. I am not sure that I will need the extra vehicles, as I have not added all of the additional storage for the products at the Nightclub.

Arcades
Arcades are necessary to participate in the Diamond Casino Heist. They also have the advantage of being able to generate income on their own. You have the ability to upgrade the Arcade with gaming machines, which will attract clients to come in and spend money. It is not a huge amount of money, but it is passive income, as there is nothing that really needs to be done other than ocasionally collect the money from the office safe.
Location | Cost |
---|---|
Warehouse - Davis (Formerly: Auto Fix Factory) | $2,135,000 |
Videogeddon - La Mesa (Formerly: Unnamed warehouse) | $1,875,000 |
Eight-Bit - Vinewood (Formerly: Vinewood Records & DM Pets) | $2,530,000 |
Insert Coin - Rockford Hills (Formerly: Fruit of the Vine) | $2,345,000 |
Wonderama - Grapeseed (Formerly: Grapesee Supermarket) | $1,565,000 |
Pixel Pete's - Paleto Bay (Formerly: Helmut's European Autos) | $1,235,000 |
As a note, I generally pick a new property based on location to my other properties that I own, so I choose the La Mesa location, as it is pretty close to my Casino Penthouse. Keep in mind that you will ocassionaly need to stop at this location to pickup cash from the safe. This will also be the base for the Diamond Casino Heist, if you choose to participate in this heist. I ultimately ran through all of the prep missions and even bought some of the required equipment, but never ran through the actual Diamond Heist at all, as it requires several other people to participate and I generaly play solo.

Auto Shop
The Auto Shop serves as a location that you can conduct vehicle repairs as well as customizations. You will get the occasional contact where a customer has brought in a vehicle that they would like you to customize and deliver vehicles to customer's and receive additional money for doing these upgrades. Owning the Auto Shop also gives you the ability to collect vehicles that can be delivered to the dock for an additional $20,000. If you deliever 10 cars, you end up getting a bonus of $100,000. There are also missions that you are able to run out of your Auto Shop to earn extra money.

Strawberry | $1,705,000 |
Rancho | $1,750,000 |
Burton | $1,830,000 |
La Mesa | $1,920,000 |
As a note, I generally pick a new property based on location to my other properties that I own, so I choose the Mission Row location, as it is pretty close to my Arcade, in fact just down the street. You generally get a message that let's you know that a customer has dropped off a car to be customized, but while involved in the game, I sometimes do not notice these. Whenever I collect the money from the safes at the various properties, I go from the Arcade and then to the Auto Shop to see if there is a car, then proceed to the Nightclub and then the Agency.

Agency
The Agency gives you the ability to to participate in the Dr. Dre missions. If you go through and complete all of the missions for Dr. Dre, you receive $1M. The agency also has storage for 20 vehicles and if you add the Armory, you can buy weapons as well as modify them within the same location. This property also produces daily income, which will appear in the safe within your office. As you do more missions, the amount of daily money that you earn will increase.
